Can't get cover image to change .. and stay changed

Hi there,

I am having issues with BMT and changing a cover image for an item.

Here is what I am doing and what results I am getting:

1) Notice some movie has a foreign cover image showing up
2) Go into the BMT web ui
3) Find the movie in the "Browse" page
4) Notice that the cover image in the "Browse" page is wrong
5) Click the movie to go to the edit meta data page
6) Click the cover image in the upper right hand corner
7) Click on a new, proper cover image
8) Click "make default"
9) Close the image window
10) Click save in the meta data page
11) Click back to return to the "Browse" page
12) Notice that the cover image in the "Browse" page is still wrong
13) Re search for the move in the "Browse" page
14) Notice that the cover image in the "Browse" page is still wrong
15) Close the BMT web ui
16) Re launch the BMT web ui and search for the movie again
17) Notice that the cover image in the "Browse" page is now correct!

I have done this process about 4 times or so, and each time I think I am good.

However, if I return to BMT the next day and search for the same movie, the cover image will be wrong again. It will have reverted to it's orignal, incorrect, foreign image =/

Any ideas how to get past this part?

Unfortunately, you can't always trust what bmt shows as the cover because of the browser caching. The real test would be to see if the changes persist while using a plugin that uses the phoenix api for resolving fanart.

The other issue could be that for some reason your media file is being reloaded, and as a result, the data stored about that mediafile gets lost. The default poster is stored as part of the mediafile's custom metadata which may be lost/overwritten if the file gets reloaded.

I'll enter a bug for this, to see if I can resolve the caching issue from the browser.

I use Diamond for displaying my BMT meta data.

In the past I would make the changes in the BMT web ui. Launch sage on my HD300. Browse to the movie in question. Hit delete on my remote. Choose re-fresh fanart (or something like that). But I would not see any changes. Either the original cover art would continue to show or the the cover art would not display at all and instead just have a transparent gray image displayed.

What would be the next step to fixing this cover art issue on my side? I assume there is way to do it, because others on this forum seem to get this to work. I must be missing a step or something?
