New movies on the landing zone?

This is a feature that's been there for a while, but I had forgotten about it. I think it's pretty handy.

When you click on it you get the Detailed info and can play do all the various commands you would normally have available after selecting it in the UMB.

I'd probaby use that quite a bit. I tend to use the info screen to get to the newly added movies, but this is even more convenient

It's funny since you added this functionality

In LandingZone.xml put this at the same level as the other 2nd level items.

Code:
	<view name="lz_recentimports" label="New Movies" contextVar="MediaFile" preload="true" limit="6">
	         <eval>AddStaticContext( "MediaItem" , MediaFile )</eval>
	         <eval>AddStaticContext( "MediaType" , "VIDEO" )</eval>
   		<eval>ExecuteWidgetChainInCurrentMenuContext("RGJDX-87319")</eval>
	</view>

Hmm I just had made a new vfs view for "recently released" (sort on original air date) and then "recently added" (sort on mediaID). And then I just edited the user menus .XML to add them under the movie section. Looks like this accomplishes same thing

i dont see LandingZone.xml is currently have LandingMenu.xml

in the LandingMenu.xml i dont' see things like you posted i have things such as

<menuitem name=""....>

*EDIT
not sure if it makes a difference but I am currently using the landing zone which resembles the old school SageMC...cant recall exactly waht the name of it is..horizontal maybe..

LandingMenu is the right file. There aren't any other items like the one you need to add. There might be a commented out item that resembles it in that file.

If you create these sub folders in userdata you cant muck up anything too bad:

C:\Program Files\SageTV\SageTV\userdata\Phoenix\menus

Then place your file you're editing in there. If all goes to hell just delete the ones in userdata and it will go back to normal You'll want another sub folder for VFS too if you create any personal/custom views.

What would the code look like in order to take the above new movies code and create a stand alone view/.xml file that resides in the VFS folder of userdata? I tried and kept getting errors. The reason I want it there is to easily attach it to a menu item rather than leave it where it is currently. I realize I can leave it where it is but I'm trying to have an area where I can keep/store my additions to the file system and not get disrupted too much when you roll out new versions of the menu.

Thanks!
