HD PVR's don't show up after reboot!
So I am setting up my new SageTV server to replace the old one. I think I got everything set and I wanted to make sure everything would work after a reboot. I reboot the box and when I go to watch TV I only see my Avermedia Duet channels. I looked in device manager and my HD PVR's are there. I went to add new sources and they aren't listed as installed or available to setup. So I restarted SageTV service and poof there they are. This seems awfully strange. Any thoughts on why this might be? I am going to try another reboot for good measure.
Thanks! Neil |

When you can't see them in Sage check and see if you can see them in Windows Device Manager. If not, you're having driver issues or USB issues.

I'm with glpasky - I only get worried if they don't show up under the device manager, or worse, if they show up as generic USB devices. That can be a nightmare.
As long as you got them back you should be fine. I've had to double-boot after re-installs and such. I've also had Sage, very rarely, do what happened to you. But Arcsoft TME recognized and utilized the HD-PVR so I quit it, restarted Sage, and all was good.
