HD-PVR's no lockee

Not a single lockup on any of my HD-PVR's since installing 6.5.3 yesterday morning. Not long enough to be sure of anything but I've had 1-3 lockups per day since installing the latest driver release from Hauppauge 1-2 weeks ago. Often I would get a lockup withing a few hours of a complete reboot/power cycle on the server/PVR's.

I didn't see anything in the release notes for any of the 6.5 betas but it's looking pretty good that something was done to fix this.

Well, never mind. Went to the gym right after I wrote the post and came back an hour later to a locked up HD-PVR.

FWIW, I was having similar problems (although not a frequent); ended up RMAing the device, no more lockups...

I don't know if this is bad for the device, but I put mine on a timer that shuts off at 2 am and turns back on at 6 am. The power button isn't soft, so it remembers the last position it was in. I have had no problems since.

I have manually rebooted the server and power cycled the HD-PVR's every morning by necessity. Still I could not get more than a day without on or more HD-PVR's quit responding to Sage.

I go sick of it so I replaced the one that was originally a C1 but returned to Hauppuage and converted to C2 in NY (Not at the factory). The replacement is an E1 and not a single lockup all weekend.

Keeping my fingers crossed,

S
