This seems to be more of a playon issue. I have had it happen on a few random occasions lately, probably 2 out of every 15 videos.

I have updated to Playon 3.5 and have no issues with Netflix. Everything plays full screen as it should. Try running the browser on the server and go to Netflix. Stream something and make sure all the settings are correct. You can't do it over RDP so you may need to connect a monitor this one time. (It's possible a Silverlight update may have happened and reset everything to default settings.)

I had this problem recently as well but it appears to have been fixed by the latest Playon update.

I (think I) posted this before, but is anyone using the "FirstRow" plugin, and if so, is it working? Ever since a PlayOn update a while back, it stopped working for me - I get all the sports categories but there is never any content in them. I just want to know if this is a Sage thing or a PlayOn thing, or a "ME" thing.

Thanks for the ideas. I have the latest Playon update installed and I checked my Browser playing Netflix again. The browser plays full screen fine, when I click the full screen icon. Playon in Sage persists in showing the full screen icon rather than showing full screen. Some older TV episodes (4 by 3) play full screen, most not full screen. Any newer videos like The Fighter fail to appear in full screen. Amazon VODs, OTOH, play in HD like a charm.

Playon did respond to my request for assistance quickly but they hinted the issue was with Sage, of course. My bet is on Netflix acting up. I gather Netflix can be flaky so I'll see if it "fixes" itself. Maybe they should call it Net fixes rather than Netflix.

BTW, I have been running 3 Sage HD extenders via wireless N connected to Colossus equipped Sage server for a couple of years and even my wife loves them. Our media experience relies solely on our Sage system. She likes the same interface appearing on our 3 big screen TVs for movies, live Tv, recordings and music, besides online stuff. We both find Diamond GUI very elegant. I share the members' concerns about the future of Sage. I monitor this forum but I'm not Sage in SageTV.

Again, thanks.

There was another patch from Playon last night which addresses Canada and US Netflix issues but the install causes default audio device issues. The Playon screen says to restore PC default audio device but it is already defaulted to setting as it was in previous installation. I had to do a system restore to get Playon working again. The bar on the screen remains in Netflix but at least the services work. I sent them another note so I hope they are again prompt in addressing the issue. At least the issue seems narrowed to Playon and Netflix.

update

Kudos to Playon customer support for prompt and helpful advice. RDP was the issue with the Playon update and it now plays any Netflix video full screen. Of course Amazon VOD installed update today on my screen so I hope that works out.

I found that the PlayOn app wasn't in the system tray. When I restarted the tray app the videos started playing full screen (no Netflix menus) in Sage. I don't know if it's related or a coincidence.

Does anyone know the manual way of changing the import path for Playon in Sage? I have the Queue importer setting set to a D:\ path and this is confirmed in the plugin. However, it doesn't matter what the GUI says, it just keeps writing to a C:\ path (C:\Program Files (x86)\SageTV..... I am on WHS 2011 so this is filling up my boot drive and creating an unnecessary backup of this folder.

I checked the sage.properties file but didn't find anything.

That worked, Thanks!

Obviously a little bug in the script but easy to get around.

Remove Netflix Queue from Video list

I must be missing something obvious. My Netflix queue shows up in my Video list, which is pretty cool. However, how do you remove them from the list? When I remove them from the queue, they still stay on my video list. Not much of a problem really except my list is now getting pretty messy. This is really bad where I have added TV series from Netflix and now I have 20 episodes of whatever showing up in my video list. Is there an easy way to purge this and start over? I am in the middle of cleaning up my entire video library, so good time to get this done as well.

**Update** Nevermind... I found the setting to delete them in the queue importer plugin that gets installed when you install this. Hopefully that takes care of it...

I am getting some weird behaviour that I think is coming from PlayOn.

In the folder where my Playon stuff goes there are a bunch of folders entitled "1","2", etc up to "7" (there folder names don't have quotes). These files are related to the TV shows that I have in my Netflix Instant Queue

When I look inside these folders I see PlayOn files. For example in folder Videos\TV\7\Season 1\ I see the file 7 S1E01 - Nepotism.m4v.playon and this file contains:
Quote:
PlayOn,,,/outputPath||/search||PlayOn:Netflix:Instant Queue:Alphabetical:T:The Office (U.S.):7:01. Nepotism:+1
Does anyone else see similar issues?

I see the same issue. Seems to be all TV shows that have multiple seasons. I think the issue is Netflix changed the season naming from "season 1" to just "1". The upnp scraper isn't recognizing them as season sub folders then and makes a new title with the sub folder name.

I've got a fix for the Netflix thing in the works and while i'm in the code (against my better judgment ) I can take some requests to see if there's anything people want added...

When using the nintendo wii, it will automatically go to the next episode of a series(IE>> after watching episode 4 the previous night, would automatically start at episode 5 next time it the series is clicked on.). It would be nice to have this rather than guess or have to keep track of it on paper. I don't know how difficult it would be or if it's even possible.

That's actually a bit of a tough one. I can't actually keep track of what you watch just the folders you pull up. Have you checked out the Queue importer part of this plug-in, it brings PlayOn content into Sage like regular videos so that plug-ins like Diamond or Phoenix can make it easier to navigate.

EP,
There are several PO plugins and scripts that don't appear to be working in Sage, thought there's no comment on them on the PO forums so I suspect the break is Sage, not the actual plugin/script. Things like First Row Sports, MovShare Movies, etc. Do they still work for you?
