Playon Plugin and resuming a movie already started
I have sage 7.023 installed and also have the playon software installed, and also the sage playon plugin. It plays just fine, but if I start a movie, stop it half way and then try to resume the next day or even 10 minutes later, the movie starts at the beginning. It will not resume from where I left off. I also have a Nintendo WII. If I start the movie on the WII and stop it 10 minutes into the movie, and restart it with sagetv, it will continue from where it left off. I don't know if this an issue with the playon plugin or with the playon software.
Could you please help me with this problem? If it is an issue with the plugin, would it be possible to add that feature to the plugin? I have also written to playon describing the problem and am waiting for an answer. Thanks In advance for helping me with this. |

Make sure under the General Settings in Playon (not the plugin) you have the box checked Enabled under Resuming Playback. You'll need a fast PC for it to work correctly. If I read the description correctly this will kick in after a pause of more than 5 minutes.

I have the box checked to resume. I can pause it and wait 5 or 10 minutes and it will resume. It is when I click stop and try to finish later that it starts from the beginning.

Same here. How fast is fast? I have a duo core 2.5Gig Intel. I paused and waited for 10mins to download. Pressed stop twice then went back into it and it started from beginning.

It's a Playon and Netflix issue. Not the plugin. I would post over at the Playon forum to see what they have to say.

How ironic... I was having the same exact issue except OPPOSITE! haha
I had a couple movies that I wanted to watch via Sage and start them over but they kept starting where I left off with them last time I started watching them! I was even having trouble with this if I let it go to the end or moved it back to the beginning of the movie via a web browser and the Netflix site! Sometimes they'd start over and sometimes they wouldn't. Thanks for the reminder of the checkbox. I unchecked that and so far so good FYI, I'm using an older 2005 computer... AMD 4400 something. The resume feature worked good with this antique so it doesn't have to be too blazing fast |
