Faster display of BG Fanart on extender?

I've got an HD200, I'm not having problems with missing posters, banners, and all that. My one complaint is the noticeable lag between moving the cursor to a series and the BG Fanart showing up. I assume this is literally just the transfer of bits across a gigE link then the HD200 doing what it needs to in order to display.

Is there any caching on the extender side? Would an HD300 improve things here? I've been thinking of getting one just for the DTS downmixing, as that would save me from having to convert DTS->AC3 on many BluRay discs. But if it would speed up BG Fanart or general diamond UI display, that would cinch the deal.

Anyone have side-by-side experience?

The hd300 can render faster but the delay is for speed issues without the delay the speed would be terrible.

What do you mean "speed would be terrible"? Do you mean the Diamond UI would stutter? So basically it's a self-enforced delay? K. Maybe I'll wait for the HD400, it depends how much the DTS thing bugs me.

yes it's self enforced the extenders can render full screen fanart fast enough without a delay.
