Enable Fanart on server/Disable on extender
I'm running the latest SageMC STV and I want to enable the Fanart on the server machine that I have hooked up to my TV in the living room, but I want it disabled on my HD100 in the bedroom. Is this possible? I can't seem to get it to work unless I am using the original STV on the HD100.

Should be relatively simple. From teh bedroom, in the SageMC options, disable FanArt. This setting should be stored in the clients/MAC.properties file, and only affect that extender. It should not affect the server's settings in any way.
I do think you have to cleanly close out the extender to get the properties file to keep, as it only writes when the instance is closed out.

I can't get it to work. If I enable it on the server PC and then go into the bedroom and disable it on the extender then it also disables it on the server again. I powered down the extender using the switch in the back and turned it back on and still the same issue. I've tried a number of powering on/off and enabling/disabling combinations, and I come to the same result every time. Maybe I'm not "Cleanly closing out the extender to get the properties file to keep?"

Strange. I don't know why the extender's settings would ever affect the server's sageclient.properties file. I don't use SageMC, but maybe it has some strange way of storing the properties? If that's the case, you might just have to go into the individual properties files and set them how you want. (Though I don't know what property it is, my guess, if you are using the latest SageMC, would be "phoenix/mediametadata/fanartEnabled=true")

I have the same issue, if I enable it for my hd100 then it automatically enables it for my MVP in the bedroom. I would like to turn it off for the MVP since it slows it down quite a bit. It must be a global setting.
