audio goes out of sync when info header and timebar disappear off screen

Greetings,

I'm running SageTV V7.0.23.246, not beta, on Win XP Pro SP2, Pentium 4 Dual Core, 3.2 GHz, 3.5 GB RAM, Hauppauge HVR-2250.

Sorry for putting this in a list, but after reading the way I was going to originally post this, it ended up being one long run-on sentence. I figured this would be easier to read.
  • I'm playing back a recorded file (analog).
  • After playback starts, the info (header) and timebar (footer) are displayed for about 2 seconds and then hide.
  • Immediately after the header/footer hide, I've noticed the video slows down for about 2-4 seconds (like watching something in slow-motion), but the audio stays at normal speed.
  • Once the video resumes normal speed, it is now out of sync with the audio.

I can rewind a few seconds, press PLAY, and then press PLAY again quickly to immediately remove the header/footer from the screen, and that sometimes helps.

At first, I thought COMSKIP was a factor because it did this whenever playback skipped over commercials, but I disabled the COMSKIP plug-in, and all other plug-ins (except for Blue Two Grey theme), and the problem still persists.

I also thought it might be my Java Heap Size, so I increased that through the registry:
  • Java Version: 1.6.0_23
  • JVM Heap Size (Used/Total/Max): 132MB/245MB/1038MB

This problem does NOT happen when I playback an imported file.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

For what it's worth (posting here) ... I ended up contacting SageTV support because I wanted to wipe my SageTV installation clean: start settings over from scratch and no plugins.

Everything's working now. Now I'll be adding in the plugins one at a time to see which one is the culprit.
