Auto stop-watching-TV plugin?

I haven't downloaded the two sleep plugins available, but this is what I'm looking for. Does it exist?

A plugin that will stop tuning the current channel if nothing is pressed for 2 hours or so. No stop, start, pause, anything. I rarely go through 2 hours without at least pressing something.

This way we could use my HDx00 boxes to watch TV at night and have it stop recording (watching TV) after 2 hours and delete the recorded file automatically. I do not want something that puts the extender to sleep as there is no purpose in doing so. It only saves about 2 watts on my Kill-A-Watt.

The sleep timer plugin puts the extender to sleep, which also stops any playback. Is there a reason why you want to only stop playback but keep the extender ON? I'm sure it can be done but I don't think it exists at the moment.

Yah, there is no reason to put it to sleep. Why does anyone want to put it to sleep instead of having it available all the time? Then I just have to take 5-10 seconds to turn it back on when I want to watch TV.

If someone could make this plugin, I'd be very grateful!

For me, it takes about the same amount for the TV to power on. If you power the HD200/300 on with the "Home" button on the remote, it connects to the server a little quicker.

+1. If I press the "home" button on the HD300 remote and my Sony LCD TV power on button simultaneously, they both come on at nearly the same moment. Only takes 2-3 seconds, at most.

We turn all extenders off when we are not using them, always have. But, hey, to each, their own.

Yah, but if the plugin can be made to just stop the recording, wouldn't that be better? You don't save more than 1 watt by putting it in "standby".

So anyway, of the two sleep plugins works best?

What plugin do you guys know of that will actually power off the hd300? The only one I saw and tried was made by fuzzy (based of another plugin I think) and that just brought up the screensaver after a pre-determined amount of time. I would like something that would turn off my extender (ie...red light instead of blue light)

Check on your configuration for the screensaver. It can be configured to kick on the screensaver when sleeping the client.

You mean configured to shut off the extender instead showing the screensaver? That's what im after
