How do you solve Jerky SD Video with R5000?
Hi all,
I just switched from MCE to Sage7, and am generally happy, but have a few issues to work through before its completely ready for the rest of the family. The first one is that I have very jerky video on Standard Definition recordings from an R5000 equipped Dish Network 211 as a network encoder. HD recordings are fine. Except for this, the R5000 network encoder setup works perfectly. According to the detailed info, the problem recordings are 480 x 480i at 29.97 FPS, H264. Has anybody had good luck getting smooth playback from these files, and what Codec/settings do you use? This is an owned 211, I'm planning on adding a second (leased) 211 using the Colussus. I'd be interested in hearing from anyone who has experience with the R5000 vs. Colossus to hear what works better. Bob |
