HD300 firmware upgrade process fried

I'm posting this here before I send in a support request.

Last night I installed Sage 7.1.3 beta. Worked well on my 2 HD200 units but for some reason my HD300 would not connect. I'm not sure what the problem is/was but after removing power a couple of times and rebooting it still would sit at starting up for like 15 min. So I decided to check for a new firmware.

I was already running a Feb beta firmware. Checking for a new beta firmware turned up nothing. So I decided to roll back to the latest non-beta firmware. It downloaded the firmware, checked it, and then went to the screen where it says firmware is being updated, please do not turn off.

It's been on that screen now for 12 hours.

Anyone seen anything like this? I'm afraid to turn it off or unplug for fear that I'll brick the unit.

In case anyone else happens to have this issue at some point, here's what to do:

Info on dealing with the firmware update issue: http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/show...1&postcount=19

PS: It should never take that long (12 hours) to do a firmware update. Anything over 15 minutes probably means it isn't updating properly.

There's a section on how to un-brick your unit in the printed instructions that came with it.
