SageTVServiceControl & VNC

When I run the SageTVServiceControl through VNC I get a window with no contents... Is there any reason I can't just control my sage services through the MMC console? (Start->Run->Services.msc) If so, is there a way to fix this issue? The actual box is in the basement now and is headless...

I use the free version of RealVNC, and the service control shows up fine.

The regular MMC console works fine. I never use the ServiceControl applet myself.

In fact MMC itself can connect directly to another computer on your LAN and administer its services remotely without the need for VNC or RDP or whatever.

Exactly what I thought, but I wanted to make sure there wasn't more to it than shutting down 1 service...

You can also do it remotely from a command prompt or batch file using the sc.exe utility:

sc \\servername stop SageTV
sc \\servername start SageTV

It's the mirror driver causing this issue. Remove or disable it and you will fix this.
