Show padding

Hi all

I've got show padding turned on for some shows with misbehaving station clocks, but something's going on.

I've confirmed several times that padding is applied to the start and end of a few shows, but the padding is typically only recorded on only one end!
I definitely have enough tuners to handle this (the biggest culprit is NBC on thursday nights, recording the office and the shows around it)

Does this sound familiar to anyone? Is there anything i can check, other than re-re-re confirm that i've got padding on?

thanks

Are any of these back-to-back shows? And do you have the option to remove padding on back-to-back?
