Avantage of the STV HD Theater 300 over the 200
What has been added or what are the differences between the HD200 and the newer HD300?

The HD300 has an optional IR receiver so you can hide the unit itself (behind the TV or inside a stereo cabinet) and still be able to receive IR signals from the remote control. Other than that, it is a little smaller in size and runs a little bit faster. I think that is all unless I'm forgeting something.
The remote control that comes with the HD300 can be program to control the TV's power and volume commands. You can buy the new remote separately for the HD200 and it works great.

The HD300 supports HDMI v1.3 which allows it to bitstream HD audio (DTS-HD, Dolby TrueHD), I believe it has a faster processor making it generally snappier to use and it also supports a higher UI resolution (720p) over the HD200 (note that I said UI, a 1080p Blu-Ray will output at 1080p, it's just the Sage UI itself that is restricted to a lower res due to performance reasons).

The improved UI resolution on HD300 vs HD200 is very noticeable !
Besides, you can't get new HD200s any more ?

And, of course, DTS downmix to stereo - in case you don't have a receiver for DTS decoding and want to connect your HD300 directly to your TV set. You can't do that with HD200 - it does not decode DTS onboard.
