Video Rendering

Hi I just downloaded SageTV a week or so ago and everything was working fine. I purchased the software today & I got my first error while watching live tv. It told me that there was a 0x80040217 (-4) error. I wasn't sure what went wrong, so I shut SageTV down & started it back up. The screen started flickering - going in and out. The flickering was happening so fast that I had to do a shut down to get back into my system.

When SageTV returned, I was able to move the prompts around fast enough to start the video test. It seems that it will now only run on the basic settings. If I choose anything else, it stats the flickering. The problem with the basic is that it's chopping part of the picture off and when the OSD hides, it leaves black boxes where it was at.

Do I need to reinstall? Will all of my favorites be lost? Any fix? Like I said, it was working fine until this one time I hit LIVE TV. Not sure if it matters, but I'm on Win7 Ultimate. I'm on the latest version of the sagetv software.

If you need additional information, let me know. I'll see if I can grab it in between the screen flickers.

Not sure what I did (if anything) to get it back to work. I removed all plugins. Even reinstalled software. Still didn't work. After toying with it for about 2 hours, it started to let me upgrade the video rendering from basic to the next level (medium?). I am now back at high. Problem solved.
