Analogue Tuner shows 3 overlapped images after STV update
Hi, I have Sage 7 and have been running it with my AVermedia NTSC tuner (cable) for about a month now without issue (loving it actually). I recently saw there was an STV update and I updated the software. Now both live TV and all my recordings have distorted images but the sound is OK. Let me try and describe the "distortion": It looks like there are three, spaced horizontally, TV images but if you look closely it is just one image with the horizontal lines wrapping around in thirds. The bottom third of the screen is also not being displayed correctly, it just fickers a ghost image of "sponge bob squarepants" regardless of whatever you are watching (this may have been the programme the kids were watching when I did the upgrade).
I'm pretty sure this is not a hardware problem as when I use another application (VLC for example) to view the output of the tuner card, all is well with the video and audio.
When I look at the detailed info for the programme in Sage, it says the media format is MPEG2 480x480. When I look at the stream info from the card in VLC, it says the format is NTSC-M 720.
My hypothesis is that SageTV has the wrong input format and seeing that 480 is two thirds of 720, that would explain the wrap around image in thirds.
Being very new to SageTV I've run out of things to try. Should I downgrade? Can you downgrade? Can you force Sage to use different input formats?
Any help would be appreciated.
