Getting 404 error when accessing BMT

I have installed BMT and fanart for sage7. when I try to connect to BMT useing IE, I get a 404 error. It says "requesturi = /BMT"

I'm running sage on a 2008 server.

Any thoughts?

I don't know if it matters on windows, but the uri should be something like,

http://SERVER_ADDRESS:8080/bmt/

all lowercase, not uppercase

Also, when you start sagetv it may take a couple of minutes to fully start, so if you start sagetv and then immediately go to the, then the package may not be loaded by then.

thanks

did you install the 'apps' plugin by jreichen. It lists the jetty apps that you have installed. Also, did you install the BMT web ui plugin, or the BMT command line plugin? And, can you access the sage webserver ie, /sage (assuming you've installed the sage web server.

I have "jetty web server by jreichen version 2.2.0.9" install and BMT -web interface version 4.9.7.

Now i just went into the configure page for Jetty web server. and there is a already a user id "sage" and a password "***" can't see the password. Is this correct, or should I use the account that I use for starting the sage service?

The default user/password is sage/frey, so you can leave it at that for now. Can you get to the base server? Do you see an error like...

Quote:
HTTP ERROR: 404

Problem accessing /bmt. Reason:

NOT_FOUND
Powered by Jetty://
You should see "Powered by Jetty"... if you don't then you are not hitting the jetty server at all.

Are you sure you are hitting the sagetv server... ie, are you using the ip address and port of the sagetv server?

I definitely get:

HTTP ERROR: 404

Problem accessing /bmt. Reason:

NOT_FOUND
Powered by Jetty://

I tried using the IP and server name. But I am getting to the base server.

Ok, at least we know you are hitting the jetty server.

Is this a clean Sage7 install or an upgrade? If it's an upgrade, did you run the jar cleaner util before installing the bmt plugin?

Maybe you can try removing the bmt plugin and re-installing it, and see if that works as well.

If you have a sagetv_0.txt log file, then I can take a look at that for you as well, to see if there are any errors showing up there.

Ya know, I can't remember if this is an upgrade or not.

As for the Jar cleaner...didn't know there was one. I'll have to find.

I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the plugins, didn't help.

BTW...I've moved this thread to the BMT thread. In the root of this sub forum there is a sticky about the upgrade jar cleaner. Run that and try again. Also, there is a user guide in the sticky as well, it might help later, once you get this running.

One thing that happened to me when I ran BMT was having squeezebox server using the same port as BMT and messing up things. You don't use any software like squeezebox server that uses the same port as BMT do you? Also check to see the plugin settings for jetty web server to see if you changed the default port settings. I know I had to to get it working with squeezebox server and have the 2 play nicely.
