HD300 and HDCP

Hi All,
Hope I'm dropping this in the rite place.

I have an HD300 running great using the composite out to a SDTV. I just purchased a Yamaha A/V receiver that has several HDMI ports, as well as the usual composite and component ports (hoping to upgrade to an HDTV later this year). I noticed the Yamaha manual states that the HDMI ports all use HDCP and will only work with other HDCP equipment. Does this mean that it will not work with the HD300 through the HDMI port? And that I will be restricted to using the component ports only for the HD300?

If this is the case....If I drop the resolution to 720 for the HDMI port on the HD300, would it then work?

I was hoping the HDCP would only be affecting the output of Yamaha (to the display) and not on the inputs. But the documentation suggests that all the HDMI ports require it.

You should be able to do 1080P through it. I recommend using the following to keep the weight off the HDMI board. Sage's HDMI cable is pretty light but when you get to adding 4 HDMI cables, it really starts to stress the board.
