So, from the main menu, hit the "REC" button and the "Recordings Schedule" will pop up.
and doesnt effect how the REC button works if you are NOT in the main menu?

What is happening is that if you are in TVE in the left side navigation Pane or in any of the Settings menus and hit the REC button, it will now bring up the Recordings Schedule.

For the Group and Episodes Panes where you have assigned the REC button in TVE to bring up the manual recordings menu, this still works as it is supposed to.

It looks like you just need to lock out this call or assign this button to do nothing inside of the navigation and settings menus.

thanks for the explanation...I'll add that to the list too

Can you confirm that this works in this build? When I hit 1, 9 times, I get 9 x 1's.

Haven't seen it happen from any other screens although I think I've only tested from most of the default V7 screens.

i think that only works when youre using the "text" input field... ie the one with the number pad on the screen... i don't think that will work using the floating point input dialog box that i've linked to...

i will probably change all those values (at least for display and entry) to be 0-100... until that happens though i think configurating needs to happen with a keyboard (either attached to the extender or at the server/pcclient)

I like this idea actually. As long as it's not too much work, i think it's a little more intuitive and will prevent people that don't know how to enter decimals from asking.

yup i like it too... i already fixed it in the UI. only the display and entry changed to be 0-100... i only had to change it in one place so it wasnt too much work... all the backend code still used the floating points... will be in the next release

One thing I'd like you to consider for the "mythical" v2... a way to save custom images for selection, highlight, etc. I use some from a different theme and always need to figure out which images need to be replaced. I hate to say "thankfully" (you know what I mean), but I don't have to do it all that often, so I tend to forget and it's not that big of a deal to do on this frequency.

just uploaded 1.02.03 to the repository. It includes fixes for most of the bugs discussed here... let me know if i missed something

Changelog:
1.02.03 1/17/2011
-#12 - Use the default v7 header and footer
-#17 - Series banner support (non season specific)
-#16 - Fix bug that would prevent banners from showing in some cases
-#18 - Floating point options (ie TVEOptions settings that were 0-1) are now 0-100 so they can be easily entered from the keyboard. Only the Options menu display 0-100, properties and code still use 0-1
-#15 - Fix conflict with Fuzzy's Recording Schedule shortcut plugin. "Record" does not do anything unless you are in the Group or Episode panel
-#14 - Min phoenix version now 2.3.13 -> fixes fanart display issues for airing items (ie scheduled recordings)
-#13 - Added option to totally disable bg fanart display
-#19 - Added option to make TVE the default action when selecting on TV or TV->Recordings from the main menu. Find the option under TVEOptions -> Main -> Use TVE as Default.

Thanks alot. Looks flawless.

One question, I'm trying to install on my laptop with a fresh install with no other plugins. What plugin depend for fan art?

I currently have it working flawlessly on my HD300.

Hi Razrsharpe

I think my earlier question got overlooked in your efforts to fix bugs for others (understandable):

"is it possible for those of us using SageMC on v7 to use this?"

Given that the front ends of TVE look the same, is there any way in SageMC of linking to the V7 specific version of TVE?

If not, is there any possibility that you could update TVE for SageMC so that it displays episode titles in the browser like it did under V6? Currently all I see are show titles for each episode.

This is the best plugin for Sage by miles!

Lee

the two versions are actually significantly different (in how they tie in with the stv, and you'd be surprised how many places that is...)

I don't remember doing anything specific to get the episodes to display correctly in v7. Did we discuss this in the TVE for SageMC thread? Can you post a screen shot? and a screen shot of your TVEOptions -> TVE Info page. Did you dl and try the TVE for the default STV to see if it solves your problem? As it always been a problem after upgrading to 7 (and When did you upgrade, what version?) And just to keep this thread talking specifically about TVE for V7 we should move this discussion back to TVExplorer for SageMC

thanks the phoenix api is responsible for displaying the fanart... but to enable the fanart you need to install the phoenix core services plugin (i think ) I think you should also be able to set these 2 items in the sageclient.properties file... not sure though... the safest bet would be to install the phoenix core services...or i think you can also install phoenix fanart for the default stv and enable it in one of its option menus (not sure on that one either...)
Code:
phoenix/mediametadata/fanartCentralFolder=PATH_TO_YOUR_FANART
phoenix/mediametadata/fanartEnabled=true

yup there will be some theming engine in the mythical v2... probably will by default inherit the theme you are currently running... and have the option to use your own images if you want...

Wow, that was quick getting a new build out. The wife really loves having TVE back. Thanks again!

Got another bug to report:

In TV Explorer Options -> Browser -> Episode Panel Height. If you set this to "55" it will display as 55.00000001. It does not affect usability in any ways but still wanted to report it.

ha thats kinda funny... probably a function of multiplying by 100 then dividing by 100 and seeing some rounding errors
