Is it possible to change Timeshift Behaviour?
Hi there,
Is it possible to change the behaviour of the timeshifting within v2.0 of SageTV, so that it is a continuous timeshift, which does not stop when changing channels, or when a new program comes on. I would like the timeshift behaviour to be the same as Beyond TV 3.4. Any idea's ? P.S When are we going to see an updated Sage.Properties description file for v2.0? Regards, loiphin |

As per the Sage.TV website.
http://www.freytechnologies.com/2_pa...Properties.txt The new SageTV 2.0 buffer is dynamic and basically takes on the size of the current show. It will automatically bleed into the next show on that channel too. I believe once you leave that show and start into the next the old one will get deleted soon. I know BTV will reset the buffer when you change channels, Sage will not. It will continue with what it had so you can still jump back to what was there before. Check out this property... seeker/seeker/clear_partials_and_unwanted_when_ir_off This will return the time-shifting behavior to the way it was in 1.4. This is what I run with. It basically will timeshift forever and only delete items when space is needed for more time-shifting or for recordings. A possible downside is that if you watch a show completely it will be moved into your recordings list. This way you can watch it again later or manually delete if you want. The shows will be added to the list as watched and at the bottom (if you use Intelligent sorting) so they will not be mingled with new recordings. |
