HD-PVR Rev "F1" only takes 1.5.7 Drivers
I just added a second HD-PVR to my SageTV WHS box. I had my 1 recording flawlessly for a while and when I got my new Rev F1 box, I noticed that the only drivers that would work are the 1.5.7 drivers. Now that I have those installed, I notice some random drop-outs, chugging, and freezes that I can only blame on the use of the new drivers rather than good old 301. These occurences happen about once a day depending on use.
Anyone know how to force the new HD-PVRs to accept the old drivers? Or is it possible to have the old drivers on my old HD-PVR and just the new drivers on the new box? Can I turn the old one off intall the new drivers than turn the new one off, old one on, and install the new drivers? I'm thinking not, but I'd really like to go back to 301. Thanks! |

Any way to fix it? I would love to get these both on the 301 driver.

I upgraded my HD-PVRs from model E1 to F1 -- and yes it only takes 1.5.7 drivers.
I tested for a while before getting rid of the E1s. I upgraded the E1s to the 1.5.7 driver and noticed no difference between the E1 and F1 running 1.5.7. Btw, My HDPVRs are hooked up through a dedicated NEC chip-based USB card. I am curious though - if it is possible to downgrade the drivers... it did make me nervous not to be able to run the older drivers that worked successfully in case the new ones were showing problems... |

That eazy you need mod the both inf
what need look is and replace them with below [hcwhdpvr.Device] %hcwhdpvr.DeviceDesc%=hcwhdpvr.Install,USB\VID_2040&PID_4900 %hcwhdpvr.DeviceDesc%=hcwhdpvr.Install,USB\VID_2040&PID_4901 %hcwhdpvr.DeviceDesc%=hcwhdpvr.Install,USB\VID_2040&PID_4902 %hcwhdpvr.DeviceDesc%=hcwhdpvr.Install,USB\VID_2040&PID_4903 %hcwhdpvr.DeviceDesc%=hcwhdpvr.Install,USB\VID_2040&PID_4980 %hcwhdpvr.DeviceDesc%=hcwhdpvr.Install,USB\VID_2040&PID_4981 %hcwhdpvr.DeviceDesc%=hcwhdpvr.Install,USB\VID_2040&PID_4982 %hcwhdpvr.DeviceDesc%=hcwhdpvr.Install,USB\VID_2040&PID_4983 [hcwhdpvr.Device.NTx86] %hcwhdpvr.DeviceDesc%=hcwhdpvr.Install,USB\VID_2040&PID_4900 %hcwhdpvr.DeviceDesc%=hcwhdpvr.Install,USB\VID_2040&PID_4901 %hcwhdpvr.DeviceDesc%=hcwhdpvr.Install,USB\VID_2040&PID_4902 %hcwhdpvr.DeviceDesc%=hcwhdpvr.Install,USB\VID_2040&PID_4903 %hcwhdpvr.DeviceDesc%=hcwhdpvr.Install,USB\VID_2040&PID_4980 %hcwhdpvr.DeviceDesc%=hcwhdpvr.Install,USB\VID_2040&PID_4981 %hcwhdpvr.DeviceDesc%=hcwhdpvr.Install,USB\VID_2040&PID_4982 %hcwhdpvr.DeviceDesc%=hcwhdpvr.Install,USB\VID_2040&PID_4983 Bear in mind that the driver signing will no longer work ocen you mod both of the INF file Min people have problem with there onboard USB chipset so in same case it best to hooked up through a dedicated NEC chip-based USB card. |
