For those who still get the older version showing up in Device Manager for both entries, if you manually update via Device Manager it will update the version numbers. I show the new version for both entries.

Manual update fixed it... stopped sage from loading at startup. uninstalled drivers. reboot. updated via browsing for drivers, oh and I used the ones SHS posted.

Testing now, seems "OK" thus far.... KNOCK ON WOOD!

I should point out to thoses you who wish re-install the older drivers or even the new drivers this best way to do it.
Just make sure disable sagetv from auto run at start up.
The best to do is manually uninstall from device manager by installing Hauppauge Colossus Capture frist then the Hauppauge Colossus Encoder and besure tell Windows 7 to del the files then Power Down don't do a restart wait a min then fire it back that way it clear Colossus memory.
This is must for XP/Vista user run hcwclear after doing the above way and yes it will remove any other hauppauge card still install in device manger so you have reinstall them to.

Just these two:
Fixed 640x480p support.
Auto aspect ratio now uses registry defaults.

Thank you.

Although I must say (to Hauppauge), I'm underwhelmed.

I was worried about this. Audio sync on SPDIF is the only issue I'm still having on my single card setup and I don't see any mention of it in the release notes for this driver.

I have yet to try the new driver, but I will install tonight and see if I can confirm that this problem persists on my setup as well.

I think all this proves is that anyone having problems needs to open support tickets with hauppauge.

this would appear to be nothing more than a "pacifier" release.

My guess is that Colossus as the same problem as HD PVR when come to AT&T Uverse set top box which is on there FAQ
Quote:
A/V sync issues (using optical audio in) with an AT&T Uverse set top box
A recent update by AT&T results in an A/V sync issue using optical audio input to the HD PVR. We are currently working with AT&T on a solution, in the meantime, you can use RCA audio in which will work correctly.

I wonder if the sync problem only affects the SPDIF input, and not the HDMI input. If that is the case, one of these (http://www.monoprice.com/products/pr...seq=1&format=2) might bypass the problem...

Anyway the drivers now have 64bit in them even know the download size is wrong and the latest full release notes will be post sometime to today but as I under stand thoses where the main fix's.
The thing I'm hoping for is no more every reboot.
So far HDMI and AC3 seem to be working but we see what happing in next few days.

$40 a bit pricey to find out... not sure if HDMI is different than optical or not.
