It's there now. Must not have updated the download server before posting the information.

I just called Hauppauge Tech Support. They confirmed it's a broken link and are fixing it.

I installed the new drivers and once again the Capture driver shows as 29111 whereas the Encoder driver shows as 29168. It might be related to the fact that I once again had to copy the new drivers over the folder with the 29111 drivers because an inf file was missing.

EDIT: According to Hauppauge Tech Support the difference in version numbers is expected.

Can anybody figure out what changed between 29111 and 29168? It's not obvious, since they combined the release notes for both versions on their support site.

Release notes for 29168 and 29111 is on download page
Fixed 640x480p support.
Auto aspect ratio now uses registry defaults.
This version now has support for Windows Media Center. For complete instructions, please click on the "For Windows Media Center" tab above.
Fixed issue: "Colossus audio lost when another recording starts in Sage TV".
Fixed issue: "I made a 2 hour recording but my playback software reports a different time value".
Fixed issue: "My player loses audio if the audio format changes in the middle of a recording".
Removed limitations on video bit rate. Range is now 1 - 20mbps for all resolutions.
Added custom property page to allow control over Aspect Ratio settings.
* enable/disable auto aspect ratio detection.
* set 480/576i and 480/576p default aspect ratios. Used when auto aspect ratio detection is disabled or when auto aspect ratio detection is enabled but the source does not contain aspect ratio data (CGMS-A or WSS).
Bit rate settings are now saved in the registry.
AC3 over HDMI now works

This list includes items that were already fixed in the 29111 driver. I am just looking for the list of items that were fixed in the 29168 driver.

installed no problem on 32bit, no change, but then, i had no issues.

Okay I Lied - rolling back to 29111 (which just worked for me)

the new drivers totally bleached out, like the brightness and contrast were at 100%. I couldnt tell white from blue, let alone yellow. BAD>>>

If I cannot use the colosus with the component+spdif i'm screw forever? or is there a solution to use the colossus with the optical audio? I just install the colossus and i can use it with the (red+white) audio cables, but if I select the component+spdif input the video stutter too much and i get no audio.

That sounds like the same problem that I am having, although it only happens to me for content with AAC audio. Content with Dolby Digital and AC3 audio work fine. Until Hauppauge fixes the driver, the only realistic option for me is to use analog audio. Either that, or not use the Colossus. Either way, it blows.

I was hoping that the driver that was released today would address the AAC audio issue, but I don't see anything about it in the release notes. So I'm not hopeful.

There's nothing quite like spending good money on a solution that only half works.
