1) Colossus with Driver only (white-box version) would be awesome.
2) Just card and I/O Dongles, dont even want Ir or remote (have many)
3) $99.

OEM brown box with Colossus Card, Printout with warranty and link to download drivers, Dongles.

No need for the fluff, including HDMI and/or component cables. $99-$119
That would be a steal!

1) I agree, Colossus with Driver only (white-box version) would be awesome.
2) Just card and I/O Dongles. That said, I would like to be able to purchase separately an I/O dongle with 18"-24" long component leads, with male connectors instead of the female ones that come on the short dongle. Preferably 3-wire (RGB), for those of us using optical audio.
3) At least $20 less than complete package

That would imply that cables + remote being worth $30 - $50 (if the Colossus is $159). Sounds too good to be true. Getting $10 - $15 off for a white box version sounds more realistic to me.

If we take the $129 deal that many of us got as basis then this pricing sounds fine though.

I wouldn't be surprised if showbiz cost Hauppauge $15-$20/bundle; SRP is $99.

Well after a couple fals starts/installs (FWIW, I ended up doing an HCW clear, and then reinstalling both drivers, HD PVR and Collossus), I'm watching something off my VIP211 @1080i via HDMI. Now time to give it some time and see how it works out.

Switched to the new driver - I have 2 Colossus boards connected component + spdif on Directv HR21 and H21, ethernet tuning. This driver seems to have fixed the no sound after channel change I was experiencing occasionally. Very pleased. I avoided HDMI previously due to no 5.1 sound - I'll try that next but picture is great with component.

I'm back to component. HDMI with 5.1 worked but not every time on channel changes. I find component is much more reliable to give smooth video and sound at channel changes and I can't see a difference in the picture.

S
DTS = Decode Time Stamp

It indicates the time that the target decoder should be decoding that packet at in order to decode the sequence in the proper order. There are also PTS = Presentation Time Stamp which indicates what time something should actually be presented at (decode is quite often out of order with presentation due to bi-directional prediction in encoding).

New driver versions.

Those of you who have the latest drivers installed (and working) could you look up in device manager and see what version is reported for Driver Version. I've got the following:
Colossus Capture Device: 1.0.29073.0
Colossus Encoder Device: 1.0.29046.0

I can't seem to get the new drivers to work worth a crap, and I'm suspicious that the Encoder driver isn't getting updated

Then again, that is what the .inf's say....

I'm showing 1.0.29073.0 for both devices (Capture & Encoder). The only advice I'd offer is did you uninstall the devices in the Device Manager prior to upgrading (per the Hauppauge instructions)? I followed their instructions and rebooted and everything has been good so far.
