SageTV info export to Home Automation System?
Does SageTV make it's status available externally in any fashion? I'd like to make it's recording status, IE what show is being recorded by what card available to my home automation system. If other bits of information from the System Information screen were also available, so much the better.

I recently was reading a thread about someone wanting similar information to be sent to an LCD.
Someone responded saying the best bet was to read through and parse the sagetv logs. I don't know if you have the capacity to parse text files looking for info but the logs would be a good place to start. |

Parsing the logs isn't a problem if they actually contain the information needed.

I don't think release versions of Sage dump a log.

Hmmm that would sqaush that idea.
However check the directory where sagetv is located anyone that should work if the log still exists. |

If parsing isn't a problem you can parse the schedule.txt file to find out what encoder is recording what if anything.
You need to set the follwing setting in the Sage.properties file scheduler_export_file=C\:\\Program Files\\Frey Technologies\\SageTV\\schedule.txt John
