I use MakeMKV. Rips directly to my WHS drive pool, and my HD300 plays it.

Great I'll try that thanks! Also does the hd200 support menus? Or do I just rip movie only?

No, the HD200 (or anything sage) does NOT support menus. Beyond the development effort involved, there's extensive licensing issues as well. Main movie would be sufficient, unless you intend to also use those rips on other devices/software that DO support menus. (personally, not having any extenders, I use ArcSoft TMT3 to watch movies (if I want the menu's/special features/3D), or just play them back in sage if I just want the main movie in 2D.

Problem is that SageTV doesnt always pick the main movie correctly.

As an example, Toy Story 2 picked the wrong default (French) in SageTV.
PowerDVD 8 picked the right one automatically.

Wish it would do that correctly...

If you stay with ATI, then make certain you have the latest driver set. My 5670 card was horrible until I updated the driver set, after that no issues.

Also blu-ray folder (BDMV) format seems to work real well for SageTV Extenders, But if you use My Movies for a client PC as Sage does not work so hot here, then My Movies seems to have issues with folder format and prefers ISO.

I went around a lot figuring that out.

I recommend keeping the "Core" for either DTS or AC3.
Unless you happen to have HD Audio support (most do not)

How is your audio setup? Are you using an external receiver? HD200 or 300? The HD200 cannot decode DTS, just bitstream it via SPDIF or HDMI, so you'll have to have something to decode the DTS.

Sage doesn't have much to go on, so the only thing it can do is go by playlist length. It will pick the longest one. It appears that all 3 toy story BD's pick the french playlist as the longest (most likely something in the credits edges them a hair longer than english or spanish playlists). PowerDVD and TMT3 don't just 'pick' the right one, they pick the one the BD-J menu system no the disc navigate to.

Can you explain this in a little more detail?

The java app on the disc knows which playlists to play. Sage only sees a bunch of undescribed playlists, so has no idea what to play from it (so it makes an educated guess based on length)

I have the HD200 hooked up with HDMI.

hooked up to what? if it's to a tv, you're out of luck playing DTS. If you're going to an AVR, then you should have no problem with it (as long as the HD200 is set to 'Bitstream' audio mode).

You won't be able to play DTS audio. You can convert the track to AC3, which the HD200 (and most likely your TV) will be able to decode, or get a receiver. Or you can upgrade to an HD300 that DOES decode DTS. Personally, I don't see the point of going with BluRay, and then using a tv's built in crappy speakers...

As mentioned in the plugin's thread, it's in the plugin repository from in sage, in the UI Mods section.

Sage 7 client,
AMD HD 5700 Video Card, it allows all Dolby encodements to pass-through
Vizio LED 47” for main system Monitor
Intel 7400 Core2Duo
