Creating XML file

Hello.
I'm new to SageTV, and the whole process of creating the XML EPG files.
I have DigiGuide and have tried creating an XML file but have stumbled at the first hurdle after trying to load it using the XML importer.
The error message is this when I try to open the XML file in internet explorer (also get an error in the XML importer):

The XML page cannot be displayed

Cannot view XML input using XSL style sheet. Please correct the error and then click the Refresh button, or try again later.

Clearly the web service is working ok from DigiGuide, but there seems to be something wrong with the XML file, or the way it is being read/definition.

I don't know if I have the right versions of the files I need. I have had trouble finding all the necessary files - eg can't find a proper link to DG2XML, as the one on SageTV website doesn't work. Also, the Damian Flynn website that looks like it has some very handy information (as well as the file I need to make the frq files I need...) hasn't been working since I first downloaded SageTV a few days ago.
