You don't need to scan in Sage, you just add the tuner as a source and then choose not to scan.

I've tried it by upgrading my existing install and no extra tuners show up, my system only shows up one of each DVB-t and DVB-S2 for each card natively in Sage as before.

I guess this is only the first beta though and they didn't explicitly say they were adding support in this release.

Out of interest, how many cables do you need to connect to the card to get all 4 tuners working ? do you need 2 sat cables connected to a dual LNB ?

Thanks

Each Sat tuner needs a Sat feed plus a single DVB-T feed for the dual DVB-T tuner. All four tuners work outside of Sage using DVBlogic, its just a shame that DVBlogic has a four tuner limit. I use the DVBlogic for four sat tuners using two cards, use one of each of the DVB-T tuners each natively in Sage and a seperate Pinnacle dual DVB-T. Ultimately I'd prefer 3 blackgolds giving six of each type but it needs to be supported better somewhere for that.

Thanks, I'm thinking of this card when I come to upgrade my server. Lets hope Sage supports all the tuners in it, I've considered DVBlogic but its just an extra software part to figure out and look after....

I've posted a bug report with Sage and they are looking at it.
