what to buy

Hi
I've got 3 tv's and I'm not sure what is recommended for the sage software on one of them. I'm just switching from beyondTV since they've had QAM problems. I love sage so far!

I have my big tv in the basement and I just loaded sage tv media center on the computer in the closet behind it. I have a tv in the bedroom and I just bought the sage tv theater 300 for that.

my question is for the kitchen. it has a pc with a tv tuner in it. What would you guys recommend for that. media center, client or placeshifter? I just want to be able to watch live tv and watch recorded shows from the basement from that one.

thanks

adam

I would move all the tuners to the basement PC and run SageTV Client on any other stationary PCs you want to watch TV on. Use HD300s for TVs that don't have PCs nearby.

2250 long full bracket

I'd move the kitchen pvr card except the kitchen pc is a 1/2 height form factor and the downstairs is a full height pc and I lost the full height bracket for my hauppauge 2250

anyone know how I can get a full height bracket? I looked on the hauppauge website and you can't buy one.

thanks

Well, the other option is to leave the tuner where it is, buy a second Media Center license, and set it up as a network encoder so that all the scheduling happens centrally on the basement server. That's preferable to running two independent servers. But putting all the tuners in one place is usually the simpler solution.

Call Hauppauge. They have them available to purchase. Be prepared for a little sticker shock, however...
