If you added them to the folder when sagetv was open and had already scrolled those genres then it would have cached that no fanart was available so restarting would have cleared the cache.

just remember to check that the genre files are .png and the backdrops are .jpg....had the same issue with some of the files and checked to see which ones were working and saw that the backdrops seemed to have to be .jpgs and the icons .png..don't know if this is a requirement, i'll let jeremy chime in as it just happened to work for me.

You know what you are totally correct and I saved the addon backdrops as PNG's cause that is what the icons were, wasn't even thinking... don't know if it matters if it is PNG or JPG for collection manager but the genre set I modified were PNG icons and JPG backdrops.

I have fixed the addon to have jpg's as backdrops.
