PBS Satellite Channel EPG Data

For those who watch the PBS channels on Ku band satellite AMC21, here is the way I have found to get EPG data for all but one of the main PBS channels.

Go to Channel Setup Menu, then to Add Channel To Lineup Menu.

Add the following new channels:

Station Name --- Station ID --- Physical Channel --- PBS Channel Represented
SD01 --- 62612 --- * --- (PBS-HD East)
VME --- 55250 --- * --- (PBS-VME)
KIXEDT2 --- 46790 --- * --- (PBS-Create)
KIXEDT3 --- 55603 --- * --- (PBS-World)

*You will have to set the physical channel number for each to the physical channel number listed for that channel in your satellite tuner .frq file in the SageTV directory--e.g., my satellite tuner .frq file is named "Prof 7301 Video Capture-0-DVB-S.frq". The physical channel number is the number in the first entry in the line for the satellite channel in that file, e.g, my first entry in the line for PBS-HD-East is "CH:4". Therefore "4" is the physical channel for PBS-HD-East on my setup and this is what I entered when the Add Channel To Lineup screen asked me for the physical channel for station "SD01".

The latter two entries above will only work in the pacific time zone as they are Redding,CA stations which, as far as I can tell, show the exact feed for PBS-Create and PBS-World, without local programming. You will have to find equivalent stations somewhere in your timezone using Zap2it.com.

So far, I have not figured out how to get EPG data for PBS-HD-West (which is exactly the same schedule as PBS-HD-East, but 3 hours later). If anyone has a solution, please post it.

Also, I have not figured out how to us the actual PBS channel name for the new station--i.e., I would like to use "PBS-HD-East" instead of "SD01" so the correct name would show up in the EPG, but apparently the station name entered in the Add Channel to Lineup menu must be the exact station name used by Zap2it.com. Entering "PBS-HD-East" along with the Zap2it.com station ID for "SD01" doesn't work for me.
