Driver problem: HVR-2250 and 7.8.28.28064 : anyone else?

Hello,
I just tried the latest HVR-2250 drivers from Hauppauge (7.8.28.28064)

The drivers seem to be changing the video resolutions in my recordings at random up to four times an hour.

If I just watch the file there isn't much of a problem.

If I try to cut commercials with videoredo it stops and complains.

I asked in the VideoRedo support forums what to do and they said that Quick Stream Fix has an option for 'enable filters' and then you can select '720x480', but this only works some of the time and I loose up to one fifth of the recording (if it were only the commercials ...)

So I am posting this to find out if anyone else with multiple HVR-2250's is having a problem with this driver set ... or as a warning to those who have not tried it yet and are cutting commercials with videoredo.

If anyone has any solutions to get this driver set working?
or they have a setup with multiple HVR-2250's and a known well working driver set?
(27323 will not allow me to select recording rate with more than one HVR-2250)
