That would have no bearing really.... I mean seasons are used but counting them doesn't really show anything.

Yeah, I know... just tossing out fun ideas. I guess I don't get why we'd want to see 1 and then the epidode count rather than just the episode count. When would you ever have more than 1?

PluckyHD... maybe this question will help you decide.

What are you doing when there are two recordings of the same movie? Perhaps there's one in SD and one in HD or one on HBO and one from TNT. Would you count that as 1 or 2? If the answer is 2, then I'd go with counting each episode of a TV show separately.

That would count as 1 regardless as they would have the same name so it isn't two. Where that "might" come into play is when you go to play it you might have a screen that shows all the options of which you would like to play

This also "would" work well for playon files and local combined say you had a episode of a show and it didn't get the end on your locally recording would it be nice to be able to select the playon episode of that show so you could see it all.

Looking at your screenshot, you do specifically have it labeled as "Videos", so grouping an entire season as a single "video" really doesn't make sense. Now, if you wanted to change the tag for TV shows to "Seasons", "Shows", or "Series", then the series count would make sense. But, I don't see that being realistic for a filter which includes both TV and movies.

BTW... thanks for the early Halloween candy!

Yeah the wording is a bit tricky but I can't really say Episodes when it is movies and TV in the groups..I have given some thought to an idea by Razor to say "Video: count, Shows: count" and call them out separately but not really keen on that idea either. Still thinking on it

I should have made you say trick or treat first how do you know all this isn't a trick

If you're filtering your entire collection for TV & Movies, I can't think you'd really care about a show count. If you wanted that info, you'd be filtering JUST your TV.

7 days? That is about the right time to bump the thread and beg for updated screenshots isn't it?

I'm becoming more and more convinced that Plucky (and jorton too) is a screenshot developer rather than an interface developers

All kidding aside, is there an update Plucky?
