modulation code for DVB-S2(8PSK)

Hello,

My sat provider keeps changing channels from one satellite to another and from one transponder to another. I then manually change the .frq file, which is not a big deal.

Now however, they changed the modulation of a few channels from DVB-S2(QPSK) to DVB-S2(8PSK). Now I know that for the first one I need to put mod:31 in the .frq file, but I have no idea what the right value is for DVB-S2(8PSK).
I haven't been able to find this in the manual or on the boards, so I was hoping someone figured it out..

Danny B

Thanks for your response, I will try it.

It seems weird that this isn't documented anywhere, the only way to find out would be to do a full channel scan, or am I missing something?

I dont know. I am very frustrated trying to get information for my DVB-S2 card. It took several hours of reading just to figure out how to get the two channels I have into Sage.

Now, trying to add a new channel, every time I do a scan, Sage deletes the whole .frq file, and NONE of the channels come in. Ive heard V7 is better, but no one has answered my thread. Apparently no one in the US uses DVB, which is a shame. Its a great addition to OTA for free tv.

mod:32 seems to be working!

I've tried most of the V7 beta versions and every other version either broke or fixed recording on my FloppyDTV, so it's been no smooth ride.

But at the moment I have a working system, so I guess I'm waiting for the final version before I upgrade again..

Ill wait until the release then. If you happen to remember, pop an update to me, or PM me, and let me know how its working, and if you still have to manually enter all these data points into a .frq file or if its added to the UI.
