Problem w Folder View and Music Cover Art

Hi All,

I am a new SageTV user who is trying to get my media set-up and organized. I am running V7 and have hit a couple of problems that I could use some help with.

First, for movies I have a folder structure of MY MOVIES -> DVD -> "Movie Title". I could then select DVD under Folder view and scroll through my movies. Problem is, after 10 movies SageTV started to import moves one level up even though they are at the same level in the directory structure. So now I see DVD (10 titles) and any new moves are listed in the same view. Hope this makes sense. I would like to see any new titles imported show up under DVD.

Second, something is wrong with displaying album art with my music. About 30% show the cover for a Rod Stuart album... When I look at the folder of an incorrectly displayed cover, it has the corect one in the file...I did a rescan and no help.

I'm not sure about the dvd issue your having, but I know for music. . .your files really need to be tagged properly. . .and even then it might get things wrong.

there was(is?) a bug where multiple albums with the same name or songs with the same name, depending on the view you're looking at would get grouped together.

good examples are "greatest hits" albums, and what ends up happening is tracks from the umpteen greatest hits albums you have all get lumped together.

not sure if this is still a problem or not but it sure sounds like it. . .a long time ago i did what i could to edit all those names to avoid the problem. . .but its still a bug sage should fix. . .

to be honest, they really need to be checking the file path and also using that as part of their data, which they are not doing properly. . .

Actually I just checked, and sure enough this bug is still there. .. most of my re-tagging solved it (for example I rename a "Greatest Hits" album for artist X to "Greatest Hits: X"), but I didn't get all of them, and the problem is still there. (I have Alice In Chains Unplugged, and Eric Clapton Unplugged, both of which appear in the "Unplugged" album even though they are two seperate albums in two different directories. It also gets the album art wrong (always selecting the album art for "Alice In Chains Unplugged", i assume b/c its alphabetical).
