Two vertical black stripes

Hi all,

Coming back from work tonight and my kids have managed to break something on my system, but I can't work out to fix it.

I am using the TV with an HDMI cable and an HD200, and it has been working that way for years.

My 16:9 TV now has 2 vertical black stripes , one on each side of the TV, making it look like a 4:3 picture. This happens everywhere ( in menus, while watching TV, and even on the HD200 menus ).

I tried fiddling with the setup, making sure I had aspect ratio 16:9 , and enlarging the overscan settings, they just disappear behind these black stripes.

I have no idea what they did , maybe it is a TV setting that was changed, and nothing to do with SageTV.

If anyone can help, that would be greatly appreciated.

Did you try your TV aspect settings? I know on one of my TVs I can set it to cut off the sides of widescreen programs. I have no idea why it is even an option on a widescreen TV.
