Silicondust/Hauppauge USB-connected CableCARD Tuner

Just saw this press release, maybe this would work with SageTV in the future?

ARG! I think SiliconDust is one of the best companies out there, but I don't think even they can do anything good with USB! Stick with the Ethernet!!!

Need to read closer. This is about two products. Hauppauge's is USB, SiliconDust's is Ethernet.

Maybe it's just me but the wording in the press release is fuzzy (no pun intended )
It sounds like Hauppauge called in the big guns at Silicon Dust to help them engineer their CableCARD tuner. At the same time SD will continue to work on the network encoder themselves, with no input from Hauppauge.

<Insert Deity Here> knows Hauppauge needs help; after my HDPVR experience I doubt I'll ever buy anything with their name stamped on it again.....
