How to watch for new plugins?

Anyone know of an RSS feed or some other way of "watching" for new SageTV 7 plugins without checking the plugin manager or this forum over-and-over?

Isn't that what this forum is for?

Chose forum tools > subscribe to this forum.

Of course that relies on the developer actually posting there. Though it does not designate V7, it also does not specifically exclude them either.

Actually yes. I didn't even notice that one so thank you.

The only problem with that is not all plugin developers seem to use it. So not all plugins are represented in there.

Hi Brent,

Could you somehow process this file to make it work for you?

It's the file that the plugin manager looks at as outlined in the plugin doc.

http://download.sagetv.com/SageTVPlugins.xml

Just an idea, good luck.

Jeremy

* You can sort by "recently changed" in the plugin manager, but this doesn't highlight just "new" plugins", it also shows updated ones.

Jeremy,
Good suggestion for now - actually that is what I've done thus far - using that xml file. I'm getting a lot of requests for improvements in the Plugin Manager (see the comments to that article) from some well-known SageTV developers that I'll be passing along to SageTV. One of those requests is a way to mark new plugins.

As I think about this topic I thought it might be helpful to me, others and SageTV guys if I described in more detail the things that would make the SageTV Plugin Manger better. Thread is here
