when will it be possible to use an external Bluray drive

...or is it already. is it possible to use an external USB bluray drive plugged into the extender to watch them, instead of having to rip them?

thanks

Probably never as sagetv doesn't support encryption. You can however use a mapped drive from your computer with anydvd installed on it.

Technically you should be able to now. You just can't do it with any commercial Blu-Ray's. Just saying!

Edit: Same goes for DVD drives....

You know if sagetv shows the drive attached on the network like they do the extender...all you would really need is anydvd to be able to remove from a network share and viola that would work as well..
