We've been at it for 17 years. We were way ahead of the curve.

The problem is we only get to work on it for 20 seconds a day......

Mike, will we be able to, like in SageMC, customize displays of map images and such? I changed some of mine to our country's weather service for radar, lightning, a local webcam image, etc. in SageMC.

Looks nice by the way!

This screenshot tells me two things.

1) I can't wait for Phoenix

2) I want to live in Hawaii. 73 degrees and FEELS LIKE 73 degrees.

I am glad that I stuck with the SageMC UI for now in V7 as this looks like it will be the way to go. Great job guys, can't wait!

How well does this read at 10-15'? It seems like some of the font sizes will require glasses.

B

PS - FTR I jack up the font size to 22 on the default STV so I can read it without my glasses

my 2 cents

I hate the stock icons, so here was my idea. The red is to bright but everyone knows what a solid red icon means. Replace the icons with text at the bottom that is neutral. Info is their if you want it but not in your face.

Wow! This is really looking nice. I'll keep my mouth shut about most of the little things because I'm sure things are going to change or be able to be changed by the end user.

That said, any chance the weather background image will change based on the weather forecast for the day? I've always loved programs that did things like that (screensavers, desktop background changers, etc.).

Many things will be tweak-able - however feel free to list some of the items that concern you - we will be keeping an eye on feedback from this thread and folding in what we deem worthy

btl.

So Bialio, any comment on tweakability based on my above question?

That's the way it works. The background images use the same numbered naming conventions as the weather icons.

Aloha,
Mike

I'm not the weather guy, so I can't say for sure. But I am guessing that eventually that will make it in. The early releases will be the core functionality, with the the ability to tweak more and more added as time goes by.

We don't have maps integrated yet, but we do plan to add it. They may not be customizable at first, but we'll be adding lots of customizable options throughout the UI once the basics are all working.

Aloha,
Mike

Edit: Yeah, what bialio said.

In my utopia, I'd like...

1. To be able to get rid of the entire top line, except for the date, time, and system (messages/recording/etc) icons.
2. The TV Show count to show watched/unwatched numbers.
3. Banners rather than cover art and titles.
4. Lots of filtering/sorting options, which can be saved and/or set as default.

After writing that, I realized I was subconsciously trying to make it look more like TVE. Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing.

Are Dynamic Menus going to be available? Also, someone said this was only a couple weeks away? Is that true?
