Just so you know, no, you are not the only one who has had a bad support experience here.
That others have had nothing but good experiences is of little consolation to those of us who have had a bad experience. http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/showthread.php?t=49155

During the last 2 month I had 2 issues with SageTV v7, filled out a a Bug Report, and sent some logs. Both issues have be fixed with the next version - so I'm really satisfied with support.

Did you make sure to log a bug report so that it gets moved into the proper queue?

I'm going to upgrade to the latest beta and see if the problem goes away. If not, I'll collect the logs and file a new bug report.
Will keep you posted...

Ok, to prempt Sage getting back to me, I've backed up and deleted my SageTV installation. I've gone into the registry and deleted the FreyTechnoligies key there. I've re-installed. Where it prompted me to change/repair/remove, I've removed and then re-installed.
I go through the GUI up until I am prompted to start adding inputs. I am given a choice of 4, the analogue input on each card and the digital input on each card. I select the digital input on the first card, 'Hauppauge WinTV 88x TS Capture'. I then select the Digital TV Tuner. It asks me if this is a Hauppauge HVR-4000 Hybrid Tuner. I select 'Yes'. It then prompts me to choose either 'DVB-T' or 'DVB-S'. I get all excited and select 'DVB-T' and it presents me with a menu to select the satellite! Last time I checked, DVB-S was satellite, DVB-T was terestrial. I know this software is Beta (even though I was forced to pay for it) but I don't think it has been tested at all! Is anyone else on this palnet trying to use two HVR4000 cards or am I the only one? Additional Note: - I then went to the second card and added a DVB-T input. Subsequent attempts to add a digital input on the second card only allowed further DVB-T inputs, not the DVB-S that I know is there.

I've been contacted by an apologetic support guy (Qian) who says he missed the email. I'm now proceeding...
