Just to point you in the right direction, I'm pretty sure you have "Custom Main Menu" by Wade installed. These two plugins are trying to modify the same portion of the menu so they will conflict. If you disable the plugin, MyMovies should replace the video Tab.

Unfortunately, until someone ports Dynamic Main Menus so that all the users and developers have a unified system to modify the menus, this kind of plugin conflict can and might continue to happen.

Feature request:

Can you add the ability to define how the playback starts when you have trailers/intro's enabled and you hit select?

Currently, it does not prompt to start from the beginning or resume playback which I like. However, once the trailers are finished, it resumes playback.

I would like it to always start from the beginning or have this as a field that can be defined in the options -> Trailers menu as start from beginning or resume playback.

Also, do you want us to run feature requests by you in this thread first or do you want us to post straight to the google code page?

I'm unable to submit under the "Review Request" on the google code page. I keep getting an error that says

Code:
Branch path must be beneath '/branches'

Yup, that was the issue. I forgot I switched from Plucky's Menu Mod to his. Now a new issue comes up. Is there a way to make Plucky's Mod the normal vertical menu, while still keeping items in the menu disabled. I like to disabled the TV menu because I never use it.

Not that I'm aware of. I don't think Plucky has any plans to port that to a vertical configuration.

You could try notifying Wade of the issue. From what I understand it's not too difficult to fix and Plucky is always willing to work with other Devs.

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\My Movies\FileStorage\SageTV\Properties\MyMoviesIDList.properties does not exist at all. It seems that without any GUIDs there will be a problem when trying to add my own Fanart and Posters, correct?

Does anyone know where does the GUID for fanart comes from? I checked the MyMoviesIDList.properties file on my SageTV and MyMovies server and most of the movies did not have a GUID.

Did you upgrade the plugin? The gernal smm-API as per above? You also need to wait until a library scan or force a database rebuild for it to show up.

I was afraid of that probably because no fanart exist online for them. Those are randomly generated by the mymovies guys. I
Am not sure what exactly they are using to generate those, but I will ask. For now just use the folder methods for backgrounds it won't make a huge difference. I am also going to try to get the scaling code to scale the folder images before next week. This was just really a quick temporary method to do it manual I threw in yesterday.

Cheers

Works great with my DVDs...

...however can I include those DVDs that have been ripped to mp4 files etc? They appear on the wall though nothing happens when I hit select to play. Terrific work!

Are you sure you paths match I am guessing your mp4 are in a different location than your others and one of the paths doesn't match in sagetv and mymovies.

Make sure in MyMovies you direct it to an Online File rather than the Online Folder.

No that is not necessary mymovies is folder based. There is no need to point to individual files if your movies are in their own folder. That would be a very time consuming process. I do not recomend doing it this way as mymovies was not meant to be used that way.

uninstall?

How do I remove this? Once I installed it my screen is all messed up. when I move from one screen to another the previous text does not go away it is just writing over the text with new text. It does it right at startup on the home screen. Update: It only does this with version 7.0.12 it works fine (kind of) with 7.0.11 Anyone else see this?

Plucky, first off thank you for your hard work on this new plugin. The WAF of my system has increased 1000 fold.

One question. When it pops up "Multi-Disk Support Coming Soon..." is it coming soon to MyMovies server/API or the Sage MyMovies plugin. Not pushing, just trying to understand.

I have not seen it...I have run both 7.0.11 and 7.0.12 on it are you sure it is not my plugin messing with another plugin? Anyways to remove just use the plugin manager go to installed plugins and select uninstall on this plugin or disable to disable it and not uninstall it.

Thanks glad you like it.

I am guessing you are seeing this on movies in your collection manager you either a. have multi disc assigned to it or b. have more than one movie in the folder correct? Support is there in the mymovies server api just not in my coding yet it is on the to do list promise.

It is a. I hit this with Ben-Hur disk 1 and 2 under the same Ben-Hur listing. The plugin is awesome, just looking at what would be the icing. It can wait.

I run a development group for a living and understand the work involved here. Very impressed.

Okay yes that will be coming probably within the month support for that. Basically it will popup a list of all the disk under that title and you can select one or play all.
