Is there a way to have it go back to the last spot in the list that you were at, after you finish watching a movie? For example, I just finished watching Brooklyn's Finest, and when I hit STOP to end the movie, it went back to the top of the list.

Also, the release notes state that you have not implemented BMT/Phoenix yet. Is this why I don't have any backgrounds?
Thanks,

Tony

I had the same error. I fixed it by first installing the MyMovies Collection Manager Client on the Sage client machine. (It was already installed on the Sage server as both client and server.)

Then, I had an issue getting the CM client connected to the server. I had to RD to the server and uncheck the option for Simple File Sharing and give permissions to Everyone. Once those two things were fixed both the CM client and the SageMM connected OK.

The HD200 connected without issue.

Plucky, Peter_h and HelenWeathers,

Thank you, that did the trick. I now have a functioning Folder view!

Plucky and contributors, SMM is living up to all the hype! Thanks

How to keep SMM settings?

Is there a way to keep the folder view and other SMM settings? It seems that each time STV is closed and restarted SMM settings revert back to a default.

Thanks.

1. Yeah that seems to be something going on with me marking the movie auto watched that is throwing sage off please bug that so I can remember to look into it further for now if you don't care about the watched just turn the feature off to mark it auto watched and have no dialog and it will return correctly.

2. Yes that is correct backdrops require points and if you don't have the points you won't have backdrops until I implement BMT/Phoenix would shouldn't be to far off still need to code it and test it.

Actually it shares the folder by default are you sure it wasn't a firewall issue?

Is this a client or server? The properties file is written everytime options menu is closed so it should keep the settings....If that is not the cause change some settings and restart then see if the issue is still there if so send me you mymovies logs per the error report wiki.

Hey all,

The second post will keep issues I feel are important to fix and are affecting the overall experience.
http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/show...79&postcount=2

Issue 1. I am very embarrassed by this mistake and it wasn't caught simply because it rebuilds the database so fast usually. It took someone with over 1000 movies in their collection for me to catch it. Sorry guys this will be fixed may get an update out today.

Issue 2 & 3 are being looked at currently. (these are also in the wiki issues I am just moving the important ones over here.)

How do we fix errors in posters, cover art, etc.

For example...

Book of Eli has the correct coverart in all views but has the poster and backdrop for "Dantes Inferno".

And then Inglorious Basterds has a French poster.

Firewall service is turned off completely. Your wiki says that collection manager must be installed on the Sage server with the client and server option (XP) and then also on any Sage client machine with the client only option. Furthermore the CM client must be able to talk to the CM server and this is where I found the problem. The CM client could not talk to the CM server until I turned off Simple file sharing on the server and configured the share manually.

As soon as the CM client could talk to the CM server then the SageMM import started working.

Yes you are right you have to have installed on the client I missed the part about having simple file sharing off on the server

Today is going to be a long day. I was up till 5am playing with SageMM and then got up a 7 to go to work.

This is really an amazing import Plucky. Major kudos

I was about to spend a lot of time writing up a feature request when I found that the exact feature I wanted was already included. Namely the ability to both replace the default Videos Menu with My Movies and then customize the menu items. Very, very sweet.

I also found that Collection Manager noticed my rental DVD in the servers DVD drive and asked my to add it to the collection. I did so and then changed the disc location to online and the UNC path that I had previously shared it with ( \\Sageserver\DVD ). I was then able to play the movie directly from disc from inside My Movies. Another very sweet feature.

I just need to get Collection Manager to do this automagically every time a new DVD is put in the drive (I don't want to rip my rentals)

Also, I have a lot of music DVDs (Eric Clapton - The Clapton Chronicles, e.g.) that don't have Fanart, Posters, and sometimes even folder art. I already have scanned or d/l folder art for all of them but need to figure out how to create my own Fanart and Posters.

I will also be spending time this weekend learning how to icons for genres and such that I saw in the wiki.

Last but not least I will be learning how to setup trailers to play before each movie. I would like to play a random "Coming Soon", a random "Now Showing" and a random "Just released on DVD/BD" trailer followed by a couple of short clips like a Dolby Digital and maybe even a custom trailer. I d/l Blender and hope to spend some time learning how to make my own in the coming months.

That's all for now.

I actually just did this for a few of my music dvds. The best method I had was to use Google Images - http://images.google.com/

I also use this App to help getting images:

Thanks sleonard I will be adding shortly to the wiki how to get your own backdrops and posters in there. For covers use the cm tool and just hit change cover and navigate to the cover and it will do the rest.

Hi,
SMM looks great! :-)
There's one big issue I'm having though: I cannot start any movies! Offline media shows me a pop-up that the media is offline, but online movies don't start. I use the standard hd200 remote control, and this fully works with the vanilla SageTV 7 menus.
Is there a setting I should change?
Best regards,
Mark
