It installed without issue, however I get a blank screen when viewing Folders. I read the Wiki and am trying to follow the setup for the Folder view. The problem is that I do not understand where the 'mymoviesshare\sagetv\properties folder' is. I have searched for it and can not find it.

Thanks again!
You have to create the folder.properties file as per the instuctions. If you are local just do a search for a folder called Sagetv and that should find it (hidden in the users somewhere)

Hd200 should not be caching did you not install mymovies collection manager as a server on the sagetv server your extender is connected too? If not I suggest switching you don't have to but not ideal to cache for extender better to have the fanart local on the server.

Congrats!

You not only made your self-imposed deadline-you beat it!

I'll give this a try tonight when I get home. So far it sounds like you did an awesome job. Not so easy to do while you're also teaching yourself the ins and outs of everything that goes along with this including the newest version of SageTV.

The default location for the directory is

"C:\ProgramData\My Movies\FileStorage\User Customization"

*Note: The programdata directory is a hidden directory.

If you are running WHS the mymovieshare directory is going to be

"\\<server>\Shares\My Movies\FileStorage\User Customization"

This directory is also hidden.

Please reference this link from the mymovies wiki if you need further details.

I've been slacking, I'll update all of this in the wiki when I get home tonight.

-Peter

So the only thing thats not working for me (thats not in the "Not Supported Yet" catagory) is the Poster View.

I get the info to the right, but in the main screen where it has the placeholder for the movie poster, ther is just that, a placeholder. Is this a point based option? I have a tad over 1000 points currently.

Posters is not downloaded automatically by mymovies. I don't do this on initial install you have enough points but it won't go out to fetch the fanart until the next library scan is finished.

If you force a library scan it will start the process it can take some time to fill up all the posters and any missing backgrounds as well. It also has to scale them after that, but they will show up eventually promise

Hey all I just added something to the wiki I forgot on extenders

*For ideal and best performance make sure poster fade is turned off in poster/cover views in the custom options. It will be terribly slow fading in posters on extenders*

This will help the experience allot on extenders.

Does this work for the Genre Backdrops too? Or is that something different we have to manually add?

I also see that with the MCE version, you can change the genre icons from the white box to user customized ones. Is this option available to us as well?

Pull up the information screen in mymovies options and it will say there if it is local or a client instance.

local cache on to location cache\sageMyMovies\desktop\

Do you have the collection manager installed on another pc?

If so you have the server and client install of it backwards. The server version of mymovies ideally needs to be where your sagetv server is.

I have the collection manager (server) on the sagetv server. I then tried to installed the client on another computer, so I can remote access to the database but never could connect.

You know thinking more about it. I think since I have 2 accounts on the sagetv server (wifey and mine), that's my problem. I found mymovies starting up for her too and think it's the client. I need to see what I can do to fix this.

That shouldn't matter can you send me a mymovies log to sagemymovies@gmail.com and I will look. See the log wiki for how to get the mymovies log.

Hi Plucky,

Tried restarting the sage service after my movies were finished importing into collection manager and I am still getting the error message.

Thanks,
Quaz
