So you insert the disc then tell mymovies to add it and then edit it's location....No fun. Bug that on the site please and we will work out a better way to handle rentals from a network share.

I always turned off animation on my extenders. After seeing this, i enabled, and do see some improvement with some odd quirks i had mainly on Folder view. But I just watched the videos on the wiki, and WOW. That is fast. I am nowhere near there, as there seems to be some studder/delay on mine.

I have a dual core, 2GB ram, 768mb java heap, hd100 and hd200 wired, turned off poster fade. Dont get me wrong works awesome, just after seeing that speed, wow.

Thanks for the work is starting to look good. Will be nice when complete.

I can reproduce this and know how to fix.

If you add some new DVDs to Collection Manager but SageMM hasn't fully updated it's database to include them you will end up with blank spots in each of the views where you would normally see the cover art. Doesn't cause any other problems except in List View.

In List View if you scroll to the blank spot then all the text in the list goes wacky.

It is easily fixed by refreshing the SageMM database in Options.

While this can work sometimes, this is NOT recommended!

A database rebuild should only be done to fix corruption issues.

Please read the section of the wiki entitled, "How long does it take for an added movie to show up?" or the section "Why do I see a blank row where some of my movies are supposed to be?" for clarification.

Thanks,
Peter

Correct that is not the way to fix that. However the blank spots will disappear on the next build. It will not show anything until it is refreshed .

I tried exiting the SMM and restarting it. I also tried restarting SageTV and the computer itself. I cannot get past the 'blank' movie wall. I do see the front DVD cover graphics in the "Video", "DVD/BD" SageTV menu, where there were only pictures of DVDs before.

Did you try changing views?

If that doesn't fix it send me a logs via the wiki links

I just installed a cover style from the MyMovies website. How do I get that to show up in SMM? I don't see an option for it in the UI.

Did you select the cover style in Collection Management? If so possibly a library refresh is needed in SMM?

Maybe I should have been more clear. I meant the option to "Refresh Import Library" under Options/Database not "Rebuild Data File".

It is OK to refresh the library isn't it?

In CM go to Tools - Options - Media Center Interface. Under Cover Style is where you would choose

One more quick question. I've noticed that I get the spinning wheel when using Sideways view, and scrolling by pages. I read somewhere that there is a setting to change how many posters ahead are loaded, but I can't seem to find it now. Where is that setting, and what is the ideal value for an HD100 Extender? If I recall correctly, the recommended value for an HD200 was 150.

Thanks,

Tony

Yes and then a import will need to be done or recaching if it is a client so it can rescale the new coverstyles correctly.

let me know how it goes haven't done it in about 10 builds but should still work.

150 is for both hd200 or hd150. See the extras wiki for the property to change.

What is your default sagetv timeout setting? Lower it to like 1 or 2 seconds to help out. Keep in mind 150 meand 75 forwards and 75 backwards if wrapping is on. If not it will go back to the start and finish fowards.

cheers

Great work! Having issues playing a DVD

Plucky, first off, great job on the plugin. I have everything (almost) working and the WAF is amazing. However, I can't get the DVD's to play. Earlier in the thread I know it states to keep the import directories the same on both MM and Sage which I believe I have done.

I have \\servername\DVD set in both MM and Sage however, under DVD I have my folders action, kids, etc... and then the dvd titles in their own folder under that. I am obviously doing something wrong and am I to guess I need to have a separate import location for each DVD title? That seems like a lot of work for 100's of DVD's if that is the case.

Again, thanks for the great work!

I have the same issue as the last poster. I have myMovies and SageTV matching on the directory (both are running on WHS) , in my case \\server\Videos below videos I have a movies directory and a "TV Shows" directory. I get artwork for all but no love trying to play the movie. Each movie is in its own folder and underneath that is video_ts and audio_ts as I have ripped the full DVD structure to the server.

The wife loves the new interface!!!

Thanks!

Sorry, I may have jumped the gun on this one. I realized that after I posted this I had Sage set to \\servername\DVD and MM set to D:\DVD. I went into MM set it to \\servername\DVD and waited for it to refresh. It is working on my server and will test on my clients later tonight.

Thanks again for the great plugin!

Glad you got it working, this is the most common problem and I've updated the wiki to make it clearer.
