Windows 2008 R2 server
Is this supported? If so, what steps do I need to take?

It looks like 2008R2 is built upon the same foundation at Windows7 (NT 6.1). I have read that there are some compatibility issues with Sage 6 and Win7. I would suspect similar issues.
They are currently working on Sage 7 which is totally compatible with Win7. You can try out the Beta which can be downloaded here in the Forums.
