running client and server on same system

Should it be possible to run RC2 SageTV Client and RC2 SageTV on the same system?

When I try it, the client connects to the server but presents a black screen... Nothing unreasonable in the log file either...

I think if the SageTV is running and is using the MPEG decoders then you will not be able to view on the client.

I have been doing this successfully on my server with older versions, e.g. with .15.

I have SageTV running under a very restricted account on my server (I really would like to see real Windows Service support to avoid that completely).

In this scenario, using SageTV Client on the machine running SageTV makes sense if I want to watch TV while working on the server.

It would make even more sense with full Service support and if this didn't require an additional client license...

Picture-in picture
My real reason was that I wanted to test a new version of my ATI remote wonder plug-in that would correctly send events to the Sage app currently in the foreground, whether client or server... and as my RW is plugged into the server, this meant running a client on the server...

My server was actually aslep at the time... I have submitted a bug.
