Question on HVR card models
My 6-year old Sage system has finally died and I'm looking to rebuild and finally leave the PCI card world. I've read a lot on the HVR series but I'm having a hard time understanding whether some of my requirements are met.
I need the ability to: - record from analog cable (coax) - record from cable set-top box (coax) using USB-UIRT blaster - run a remote (ir receiver) Can a dual-tuner card like the HVR-2250 record 2 channels off the single coax input AND record a settop box off the A/V inputs at the same time? Or do I need a dedicated coax for the settop box? I just have one of those little Comcast set top boxes which I believe only has coax out as an option. Thanks |

Your best option is to look at getting a pair of 2250 to do that. Do not use coax out as an option that for one channel like 3/4 to a TV |
