Video card problem or something else?
Don't bother, Any UI problems you report will be immediately dismissed as a problem with your video card and drivers. I've been having bizarre redraw problems with the entire UI redraw system since going to 7 beta, which I paid for. I report them and offer to help debug and get told immediately that it's my video card. Strange that all other software I use with it is A-OK, including other video software like Hulu, Netflix, Bluray/DVD players, etc. I've loved the power of SageTV and yes, the price is not high but you know what? I'd pay 3 times as much for the product if it had a new professionally done UI. I'll stop there - there's been more than enough reasonable posts with ideas for features. The main criticism of which is, they don't specify exactly how to implement them in their posts. * Post moved out of someone else's topic on a different issue * |

Yes, I know this is beta code but the whole idea of the beta I would think would be to work out bugs. When someone reports UI redraw problems to knee jerk a reply that it must be their video card get a new one, is just wrong. |

You're welcome, I hope it saves someone from wasting their time filling out a bug report and offering to spend their time to help debug the issue. I mean, it's got to be their hardware so don't bother.

Did you ever consider that maybe they have seen your problem before with your video card so they quickly know it is a problem with your hardware? I'm a computer consultant and I always know that if someone calls with a problem with their HP Pavilion dvXXXX, that is is probably caused by one of the many hardware issues/recalls in that line. Just because none of your other software has problems doesn't mean it isn't a hardware issue.
